Wynloch Keep Slot
The Wynloch Keep Slot release covering a medieval time where castles and sword fights are common has a jackpot waiting for you.
Released by Genesis Gaming
Genesis Gaming slot releases are becoming more well known over time as more casinos are offering their games. They have a good reputation for nice graphics, good sound tracks and they try to offer unique stories to the games.
General Game Theme
Some reviews liken the theme of this slot to the Game of Throne series. It doesn’t follow that theme very closely but it certainly does take place during the medieval period.
Throughout the game the story line is that your goal is to help the king in seizing a keep of gold. This all takes place in the land of Aegirine and the gold is locked up in a mighty fortress.
5 Reel Video Slot
This is a 5 reel video slot with 15 lines. It starts out using a standard 5 x 3 grid style.
Be sure to read the explanation below since during bonus rounds the grid expands the grid and the paylines.
Wynloch Keep Slot Symbol Breakdown
To provide you a breakdown of the symbols you will see in the game. For the regular premium symbols we start with a diadem most commonly referred to as a crown. The next symbol is a chalice (cup). Among the mid range symbols are a ring with a beast on it, a shield and then a sword. Minor symbols are rune stones and would be best described by their color. There is blue, green, red and purple.
Pay Line Match Wins
From the pay table the match wins are as follows:
- Caldron Wild matches of 5 are 5, 4 are 1.5 and 3 are 0.5.
- Diadem matches of 5 are 2.5, 4 are 1 and 3 are 0.25.
- Chalice matches of 5 are 1, 4 are 0.5 and 3 are 0.25.
- Ring matches of 5 are 0.75, 4 are 0.35 and 3 are 0.2.
- Shield or Sword matches of 5 are 0.5, 4 are 0.25 and 3 are 0.15.
- Blue or Green rune stone matches of 5 are 0.35, 4 are 0.20 and 3 are 0.1.
- Red or Purple rune stone matches of 5 are 0.25, 4 are 0.15 and 3 are 0.1.
Pay table amounts are a multiple of the total wager x bet per winning line. Your matches are counted left to right only on a payline. Additionally, match wins can trigger Wynloch re-spins as explained below.
Wild Symbol
Wild symbol is a caldron of fire. The wild symbols will substitute for all regular symbols on a payline except the scatter.
Tower of Power Round
Tower of rower round (also known as Wynloch Re-spins) provides 3 respins. These are triggered from winning paylines. On the first re-spin 2 random reels will become wilds for the spin. Wilds will lock if part of a winning combination.
During the first respin, the grid expands to 4 rows and 20 paylines. For the second re-spin a 5th row is added and 25 total paylines. For the final respin a 6th line is added with a total of 30 paylines.
However the extra rows and paylines are only active during the tower of power re-spins. These re-spins can be profitable since they are done without an additional bet.
Treasure Coin Scatter Symbols
Landing 5 or more treasure coin symbols and you trigger the bonus round. 3 Free spins are awarded immediately. Additionally, any new treasure coins landing will reveal a prize. The revealed coins will lock and reset your spins back to 3. When no spins remain or reels are full, the feature round ends.
Your total won on the round is the combination of all treasure coins plus the highest Jackpot Chest unlocked during the round. Treasure coin values range from 1x bet up to 100x bet. Jackpot Chest values range from 25x bet up to 2500x bet.
Bet Ranges
The most common bet ranges on this slot are $0.20 up to $40.00 per spin. You can change this at any time before a spin by simply clicking the plus or minus on either side of the bet amount. It is likely that some casinos may raise those limits for some players based upon VIP levels.
High Volatility High RTP
This slot is listed as a high volatility game. But it also has a good return listed at 96% for the long term. Some players like this since the wins are often higher although it may seem there are less of them.
Conclusion on the Wynloch Keep Slot
We enjoyed the story line behind the game. Often we may shy away from high volatility games but we noticed the win rate on this game was better then initially anticipated. Watching match wins increase with the added rows and paylines after medium wins certainly seemed to help the ratio. While we would not call this our favorite, but surely we will play this again on occasion.
