General Slot Theme

The general theme of this slot game is all about pirates on the high seas. The main pirate is Goldbeard and your task is to find his treasure.

Old School Graphics

Yes the graphics on this slot are sorta old school but they are not poorly pixelated and are clean and crisp.

Keep in mind this game was released in 2005 but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t pay out and it can still be a fun choice for a few spins.

Granted it may not have all the features some games of today have. But overlooking that, the progressive jackpot and RTP are within the range which make it a decent slot.

Number of Reels and Paylines

The Goldbeard is a 5 reel slot that has 20 paylines.

We will explain each of the symbols better below, but it does offer a scatter as well as wilds that can trigger free spins. It does not ahve an additional bonus round beyond the free spin rounds however.

Slot Game Symbols

Some game symbols you will see during play are common among slots and some follow the pirate theme well.

Obviously there has to be a pirate ship, and it is the highest paying regular symbol. Famous pirates always have a parrot on their shoulder so this game includes a parrot symbol. And to round out the symbols with the pirate theme is a cannon symbol and a treasure chest symbol.

The balance of the regular symbols which appear on the game board are an A, K, Q, J, 10, 9

Payouts for Matching Symbols

Let’s look at the payout for matching the regular game symbols. Matches are from left to right on paylines, and must be exact like symbols for a win.

• Match 5 pirate ships and get 2500, 4 for 500, 3 for 100 and 2 matched is 5.
• When you match 5 parrots get 1000, 4 for 300, 3 for 75 and 2 matched parrots is 5.
• If you match cannons or treasure chests 5 is 500, 4 is 150, 3 is 15 or 2 is 2.
• Match A or K of 5 is 200, for 3 matched it is 25 or 3 for a payout of 5.
• Exact matches of Q or J of 5 will payout 150, for 4 is 20 or match 3 for 5.
• The 10, or 9 matches of 5 will pay 100 and 3 will win 15 or 3 will payout 5.

Gold Coin Scatter

The gold coin symbol, with an image of Goldbeard himself on one side of the coin is a scatter symbol.

Gold coin scatter is a multiplier and will apply to any payline with a win.

Matches of scatters can be nice if you get 5 it pays out 100, 4 for 20, or 3 for 5 and 2 for 1.

Goldbeard is Wild

Since most pirates always have a wild streak, Goldbeard is no different and he is the wild symbol.

He will only appear on reels 1 or 5 in normal games. Goldbeard substitutes for all symbols except scatter. All wins using the wild are doubled on that specific payline.

Goldbeard Triggers Free Spins

Any time you land a wild on both reel 1 and 5 you trigger the free spin rounds.

You win up to 24 free spins and all wins are tripled during the free spin rounds.

Landing Goldbeard wilds on reels 1 and 5 again during the free spins will re-trigger additional free spin rounds.
